Interesting idea... How does the cable link up with the mechanism that drives the pulleys in the crank?

Evolutionary dead end, pretty much obsoleted by high cog counts on the rear axle, coupled with 2 or 3 rings on the crank.

I agree that conventional derailleur setups of the time and IGHs are hard to beat.

I've been wondering how noisy all those front guide wheels will be? Also do they have ball bearings, or not?
