I would really want a current state of the art builder weighing in.

I assume you sent Alex good pics to make sure all are on the same page, I will admit it seems strange to me that a shim that could be needed was not included.

They were at MADE last year and are coming again this year. I looked them over pretty good but didn't see this, they did seem a bit odd at the headtube transitions but most newer frames do now days IMO.

Add to this a sloping geometry and oversized tube for the gravel, for the road bike version, it is clearly inspired by the fausto coppi lugano geometry (mine in the photo)

which already had a megatube back in 1995

Um, maybe, fast back seatstays have been around for a long time as have oversize tubes and Battaglin. They take little influence from others I think and have been successfully doing it their way from the beginning.

They have been doing this for along time, I would think they have had as much influence as anyone but unlike most others, they are still doing it in house as they have done since they started.

Giovanni is still involved and Alex is the ever steady hand on the levers.

Other than this, what do you think of the bike? I am contemplating buying one, but the current prices are very high.
Is the weight an issue at all?
Any flex noticeable when out of the saddle on climbs?
Thanks, Shane
I have yet to ride it due to a bearing issue, so I’m unable to give my opinion. the frame alone weighs 5+ lbs. ( internal rim brake mechanical shifting)
