I love finding these since the builder was local, this is my third. Spotted it last night on Marketplace while I was at work. Only asking $25 so I figured I could use the saddle and Campy headset. Picked it up a little bit ago and was very surprised that nothing was stuck, I was sure the fluted seatpost would’ve been.

Wow, great score. I must say I’ve never heard of these bikes, but that looks like a very nice bike. If it is your size you may want to consider it a rider/ keeper. I have been looking at bikes in the sub $100 range to get decent vintage wheels and have stumbled onto a couple of sets of nice wheels and great parts bin fillers but neither were my size so off they went after getting what I wanted to keep.

sloar ,
Great score and from nearby Fort Wayne. Plantenga hasn't been very notice-able in the C&V thread but he built some pretty nice bikes. I had one second hand until it got crunched by a careless driver. It was great ride and even did Hilly Hundred a couple of times on it. You got a great touring set up to boot! Congrats on a great find. Smiles, MH

Probably going to the powder coater. I hate to do it because most of the frame has a nice black metallic paint. But there’s a lot of rust spots. Decals should be easy to have reproduced.
