Colnago Profil - mid 80s
I am interested in your ride experiences. Is it the magical (
) ride quality we always seek in Italian race bikes?
Columbus SL with 'Colnago special designed ribs on top tube and downtube', investment cast fork crown & Colnago drop-outs.

Does this decal differ from that on a Super?
where is Drillium Dude when I need him?
edit: I believe the above decal connotes the Profil tubing described in 1985 catalog. Happy to be tutored, never owned Ernesto's frames.

I had a Super with Victory like in the bottom left of the picture. I thought it was a great ride. Mine was a bit rough with replacement decals though and no tubing decal.
I passed it on as I wanted one that was just a little bigger in size. Haven't found it yet but would welcome any Colnago into the stable.

Recently grabbed a carbon fiber C40 MK4 and can honestly say it's the best C.F. bike I'ver ever been on. Feels a lot like a top notch lugged steel bike to me. I don't think you can go wrong with a Colnago, believe the hype!
