Lets see your Eroica pics...
So far, too much fun.
Yes, there are issues. So what. Its a nice day on the California coast.
Elephant seals!!
Zebras!!
Otters!!!
Shuddup already and ride. Have a beer, make a friend or realize the guy next to you at the bar has been a regular contributor to BF for years, and you had never put a face to his posts, until now.
Lets see them.

I'm here in Cayucos at the family beach house but I decided to spend our anniversary weekend with my wife instead. So here's my view from the balcony right now where I can see the riders on the main routes passing below me towards the turn off at Old Creek Road.

Excellent pics and having fun! Did you run into any fog heading down to Cayucos?
A nice contingent from the Velo Retro ride and SoCal.
Hope to see more from the Sunday Rides.

Last group of heroics to come in. The only woman that completed the long route. A single gear rider that took two spills on Cypress mountain descent.
Few more from Sunday baby ride.

Great pics!
Is it me, or does the amount of riders look low?

With the staggered start times, hard to account.
note Rich on the Ron Cooper is lugging around a chunk of Cinelli fork.
Appeared as those who are imaged are in a good mood.
as a profitable venture? Perhaps next year with more local management attendance will be better.

My oldest brother on the descent from Cypress.
I could be wrong, but the attendance seemed to be very low. We rode the entire route basically "alone". We encountered maybe 10 of the same individuals throughout the ride. We left at 7ish.
I shoehorned some 32's on my bike, and it made a huge difference. Got my personal fastest Cypress climb since 2019, and the wider tires didn't spin out, and I maintained traction the entire ascent.

From my admittedly limited vantage point, I thought attendance was down, organization was up, rest stop provisions were way up, and enthusiasm was high, I did the short ride Sunday (and had a great time), but hung around the expo area long enough for Santa Lucia riders to start coming in. I heard lots of "that last climb was brutal" but not a single "there was nothing at the rest stops." In fact, I heard pretty much no complaints about anything all weekend. A hopeful sign for the future.

My First Eroica California!
I had a great time at the Eroica. Did not attend previous editions so have no comparison point. Joined the Manny organized Saturday ride and did the Santa Lucia ride on Sunday. A lot of really nice people and gorgeous bikes!

I do know this. Concours will be back. Cambria will be the base again. Lack of t-shirts/posters/jerseys was alarming. It will improve.
More pics please..

Great to see the folks on the Raleigh 3 speeds. Wonder how they did on the hills.

planetary gears, about an 8% friction loss… no clips and straps, but interesting blue tape on the end of one pedal… I predict walking at some point depending on the course chosen.
