New to me Battaglin

I picked up my first Battaglin this weekend. Any Battaglin experts that can tell me the model and year? From what I can gather Battaglin may not have had a specific model name this particular year, so this may be an SLX or Tricolore. Any info on the components is much appreciated. I know the fork and the drivetrain is not original.

Great score, fantastic bike.

I'm a huge fan of them but no help on info, this is the one I would like to get my hands on, they were at MADE and are amazing.

The italian flag brazed on the top tube indicates that it was made in the Billato factory in Italy. They made frames for Ciocc, LeMond and others.

Is there a Ten-speed drive sticker on there? Nice bike!

Bikes: Two Peter Mooney customs, a 1980 Trek 510 townie, a Marin Stelvio set up for TTs.

Very pretty. Sadly, it's only slightly huge. (54cm-55cm X 55cm rider here)

Interesting that the paint's the same fade I have on my Billato built Marin.

Big fan of Battaglin here, but I know next to nothing about their production. I have one - a 59cm built from Columbus MAX - that I bought as a frame and built up with then-current 10sp Chorus, back in 2007. One of my favorite bikes! Handles like a dream and descends like it knows what it's doing and just needs me not to mess it up.

I know. I just wondered if the Italian flag fade with red in front was just a shtick of theirs.

Sounds like a lovely bike, but likely a little overbuilt for little old me; even the Dedacciai 01 my Mooneys are built of is likely more beefy than I need. There are riders in my neck of the woods who would have put a frame built out of Max to good use though.

Yeah, even at 205#, running 25mm tires at 90#, the ride is.... firm. But it accelerates like a rocket when I stand on the pedals!
