1995 Colnago Elegant

Just bought this from an older Gentleman. He bought it in Ranica, Italy in 1995. It has an 8 speed Campagnolo Athena group set. Only part not Athena is the FD which is Record. Gearing is 53/39 with a 13-26 rear cassette. All my other bikes have been changed to 52/36 with a 27 as my largest cassette, so let’s see if I can still turn a 39/26 up hills.

He rode it around Italy till he moved back to the states in 2000. Since then he said he’s only ridden it a few times.

My only plans is to change the handle bar to one with a shorter reach and compact drop. I might switch the saddle since all my other bikes use a Fizike Aliante.

says it won’t let me post pictures because I need at least 10 posts. I’ve been a long time member and have other posts where I have pictures of my builds or bikes. I guess I’ll attach pictures after I make the minimum.
