Before you make the 10 post minimum you can upload images to your gallery on your profile and someone can give you a pic assist.

Hey I'm no expert on the brand but I'd hold off handing any money over until the seller sends a lot more pics. Maybe it's just me but I don't like a few things I see and would like better images of the dropouts and components.

*Edit* It's very hard to see in these pics but I'm pretty sure I see cheap steel brake calipers, a steel cottered crank and stamped dropouts but better pics will tell the truth. Front wheel looks like it is mounted with nuts and not a quickrelease lever.

^ This.

What I can see of the rear dropout looks really suspect.

cranks don't line up. Stem way past min insertion point. Cheap saddle slammed.

G.M. have panto on the frame on the seat-stay eyes, by the BB and headset, plus forks.

Would love to hear your comments on the closer pictures.

Cheers !
PASS! Everything on this bike is pretty basic steel and the seller refuses to to provide pictures of the actual frame parts like the fork crown, dropouts and seat lug. More pics https://www.bikeforums.net/g/picture/31631139

Here at least is a halfarsed pic of the stamped hangerless dropout. I don't know if Motta made bikes this lowend in Italy but I'd steer clear of it.

At least the brakes are actually alloy but still very low end models.

jamesdak This is a beautiful frame. I like the cranks with the black rings better.

a first AFAIK: never heard of a (rather obscure) marque like Gianni Motta being "counterfeited" before this one, but then again maybe not.
Could be a legit but very cheap Motta ("Personal 2001 Fly"?) that the seller then extra downgraded with cheap wheels, pedals and RD (yet a fairly OK FD but likely also found at a co-op or sidewalk sale).
As every other sensible poster has said: AVOID this one whatever the price!

Personal 2001 Fly would have signature coke bottle seat stays also that are not here with this frame.

Hi everyone,

I appreciate every single comment on this one.

FYI, the Bike was selling for 45 USD

I dont really think there were any tricks on the seller's sider, the later pictures are taken by me (I went to see It as It was nearby) and then guy knew nearly nothing about the Bike's brand, meaussurements, or anything.

Just wasnt the frame I hoped It could be.

thanks again !

Nice bike I wonder if the cranks are Sugino. I would rather have seen older cosmic carbon on this but too each their own

The Personal 2001 was the top model at the start of the eighties. It had distinct parallel-ending chainstays which make it easy to recognize.

on the bike shown in the pictures, nothing says "good frame". A lot of things say "walk away"
