Always love to see an old part repurposed and given a new lease on life!
Any comments on other parts that seemed like good candidates for this sort of conversion? To be honest, nothing with the required size and shape springs to mind. Maybe a QR skewer nut?? Might be fun to have a Campy QR nut with the D-ring sticking up.
