To be fair, handsome is as handsome does; the later Tourney (and 500/600) cp calipers had a quite clever qr-and-permanently-affixed-straddle arrangement - plus they are as good as any other centre-pull that isn't a MAFAC.

True. Still, I wish Shimano had chosen another route than simply relabeling Tourney center-pulls Dura-Ace, causing confusion for decades to come.

The Falcon has landed.
It was waiting for me when I got home from work. Paint condition is exactly what I expected, too many coats of Rustoleum, but otherwise it is straight with no dings anywhere, feels pretty light. Head badge is in great shape. He included the seat post in the picture, it's "experienced" and measures 25.8mm. It's feels a tiny bit loose even with all the crud inside the seat tube so I'm guessing it may take a 26.0. Other than that not much to tell at the moment.

It hit me earlier this morning that the Volkscycle my Arabesque group came from did not have an Arabesque headset so I went on Ebay and picked one up to make it complete. I was just out looking over the Falcon and realized it already has a 600 Arabesque headset. I was so hung up on figuring out what it is and what size seat post it takes I hadn't even noticed the headset other than it had overspray on it. 
Oh well, I have another set of Arabesque derailleurs and shifters, now I have a headset to go with them.

Temps are supposed to get back up to where my heater can make it tolerable to spend time out in the shop again for the next several days and I can get back out there and start taking inventory of what I have. Then I'll start matching components to frames and maybe reduce the extras to a manageable level. I guess there are worse thing to have extras of than Arabesque and Dura Ace but I'll probably find them too LOL.

It's confirmed, the Falcon is an Olympic Model 78, frame manufactured sometime in 1973 from Reynolds 531 straight gauge main triangle.
