28T 6-speed freewheel with Campagnolo 980?

Hi,

The maximum freewheel cog size for the Campagnolo 980 RD is usually quoted as 26-tooth. But I've also seen 28-tooth recommended as a "possible" maximum.

Has anyone here on the forum actually used a 6-speed freewheel with a 28-tooth cog together with a Campagnolo 980? And did it work?

Thanks,
