Peugeot Birmingham AL $200

"Vintage PEUGEOT CARBOLITE 103 Bicycle"

Asking price might be a little on the high side to match the height of that stem!

There may be problems at the cable exit point for the rear brake. It looks like there may be a weld there. The internal cable routing was not good for these bikes.

I'm tempted, but I have too many and really don't need another. Not to mention it needs tires, tubes, and a seat and has a decent dent in one of the tubes. I had this exact model before but this is better size for me.

$350 Bike with quite the origin story:
This bike was handmade at the Raleigh/Huffy Tech Center in Dayton, Ohio by the group who helped make and design bikes for the 1984 and 1988 US Olympic team, the 7-11 racing team, and riders like Greg LeMond: Mike Melton, Joe Skriven, and Steve Bishop.

I continued to pull up the listing multiple times a day. The price dropped again on Friday. I messaged first thing on Saturday. The seller shipped Tuesday. And it's here today. This bike is in much nicer shape than expected! It will clean up extremely well! I usually buy vintage for the frame and not so much the components, but I've always been drawn to the 1st gen Dura Ace. I'm really looking forward to getting this one back on the road, and aside from re-lacing the wheels to some clinchers, not changing much else at all!

I'd be interested in those gold Fiammes unless you want to keep them with the bicycle.

and the Sirrus seller got this memo, too!
Must be the cutting edge trend to make saddles more "aero" like back in 1985

I saw that listing, I was looking for some bikes for a guy on Redd!t, this is one of the bikes I suggested, although he went for a different one (this one is kinda far from Houston.)

I have a Lotus with the same group set and Tange 2 tubing which is a pretty nice bike, I imagine this Shogun must also be a great bike, and that's a really good price.

Did you know Shimano made a 6 speed HG cassette? Neither did I until I came across this Ebay listing

11-24 6 speed. If you look up the part number CS HG30 6AF
https://si.shimano.com/en/pdfs/ev/CS...-6af-1436A.pdf
It really is a 6 speed HG cassette! So for those of you who are piecing together an SIS or Accushift system with your HG hub wheels- this is your missing link.
