Isn't that the group where you're supposed to sign out with your name and where you're from etc etc on EVERY post or they don't post your comments??

That is the same message I reported to you, also with Malwarebytes. Further info indicated phishing. I am wondering if it is a false positive as I wager others are running anti-malware programs (not Malwarebytes) and do not appear to be getting this. Plus your proactive scanning would tend to indicate a false positive. Busy getting ready for a trip, but once I land, I plan to report it to Malwarebytes..

To be clear, the posts aren't pre-approved, they'll go in regardless of whether you remember to sign out or not. Guy or others will send you a friendly reminder to do this. It's more civil over there because you can't hide behind an anononymous handle. BF C&V is also very liberal with the definition of classic and vintage. Clipless pedals, brifters, index shifting etc. are not subjects to bring up at CR

I've often made the analogy that the CR (Classic Rendevous) google group is a wine bar, Bike Forums C&V is like a dive bar. I like 'em both.

What gugie said is more accurate and well detailed, all true. Thanks gugie for that help!

Your simple explanation sufficed to get the point across. I was just in a pedantic mood.

Mine were just deleted after I would spend a ton of time writing out historical information for someone about their TOC bike. There was no such thing as a friendly reminder, the reminder was that your message has just been deleted for lack of signing out. Note that this was many years ago so I'm sure things have probably changed since then. Personally I don't miss the CR group at all. Sorry to hear about their problems.
