Any thought about getting a perfectly wonderful 130 BCD "classic" crankset, sticking on a 38 tooth small ring, then adding two or three teeth to the bigger cogs in the rear?

Thanks for the photo and explanation about the 30 tooth ring on 110 BCD spider..... I'm sorry to say I still don't understand exactly how it's done. Probably need to see one apart or partially fitted.
Really, I'm asking because I wondered if it's something that could be "bodged" up at home.... Asking for a friend🤔 https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...699eb3a55.jpeg |
Thanks for all the info. I like the Velo Orange and White Industry cranksets. I think I'm going to go with a modern 11 or 12 speed set up (my Ultegra 11 speed fits fine). I would like a nice crank to set it all off. The frame should be re-painted by the end of the week and I intend to build it up from there.
