Strange (?) Site

Was once called Prolly Not Probably, became popular during the fixie phase throughout the noughts. Tends to follow cycling trends as it’s all about bikepacking now.
I don’t really follow it, but occasionally has a good article on classic bikes.

A photographer who freelances for The Radavist was at Ed Litton's shop yesterday photographing the end of an era and the crew that is trying to get Ed's shop cleaned out. I think you can expect to see something about it in The Radavist fairly soon.
Unfortunately for all concerned, I may be in some of the photos. I apologize in advance.

John has plenty of great coverage from MTB's to MADE and everything in between.
I encourage everyone to explore his sight, lots of history and reverence for all of it.

They also have a good marketplace, which has some nice modern and vintage bikes and parts, in case anybody needs more enabling. I bought a nice Campy Athena 11speed group there from John for my Cecil Behringer bike. As if we need more enabling.

Clearly some of us have, at least 10 years for me. We have our tribes, folks in other cycling circles have no idea who Litton, Sachs, or Weigle are. Doesn't make them not well-known. Hell, I was talking to a 30-something last week who had no idea Peugeot made bicycles.

What did he know Peugeot for? Cars, watches, or pepper mills? They invented their type of pepper mill, and there is still none better. I own two! When I was a kid, I had a Peugeot watch.

Cars. It's even more niche to be aware of the other products.

My Peugeot pepper mill is around 40 years old, used daily, still works like day one. It's turned wood, a decorative shape turned from a cylinder, what I think of as a normal pepper mill shape for table. You turn the round knob on top, pepper comes out the bottom. Not the comically-oversized one that lets a waiter give you pepper without leaning over the table, ours is only maybe 7" tall. I should refinish the wood, it looks a bit crappy.
I can't remember where I keep hearing all the Radavist mentions, but there have been plenty, some of them here no doubt. If the subject matter sounds interesting, I go to the site and read the article or just drool at the bike candy. Since I'm vintage-only, I skip anything with through-axles (except Cinelli Bi-Valent or Nivex Repose-Chaine), or bikes that need electric motors to make the derailers move — I can't believe people fell for that BS. But I like the site.

I got this one in May. It's selling for $41 now. You can adjust the fineness of the grind which I had never seen before.

Too weird, a couple days ago I was doing some searches on Peugeot's Inoxydable process, a result of a recent post, here, and up pops a page with a stainless steel Peugeot pepper-grinder. I'm 70, never heard of a Peugeot pepper-grinder, and now 3 days later Peugeot pepper-grinders have invaded BF on a post about a "strange" site. Coincidence? I think not. Something's up with this...
