Falling into the Miyata cult

Hey everyone. I find myself at the edge of buying yet another Miyata. Or should I say a possible Koga Miyata. Not really sure. I think this may have been a former Team bike and even specifically built. The head badge (not a decal) says Koga Miyata and Handmade on it. Not handmade in Japan like I have seen on others or just Made in Japan. It has painted "Cr-mo" forks and chrome rear stays with the coloring of a 1988 912. I just finished up restoring a 912 and the colors are the same except it has some swirls (in the same colors) as the chevron stripes my 912 has. It also has what appears to be a riders name just ahead of the seat tube.

The serial number is a Miyata serial number and not the Koga Miyata serial number. The serial says it was build in 1986 for 1987. The colors and decals say its a 1988 Full Pro, according to the KM catalogues from 1988. The 1987 model (that the serials says it is) has the exact same colors and stripes as the 912.

Not really sure what to make of it. It has Miyata decals, Koga Miyata head badge, and 1988 paint scheme and decals on a 1987 frame set and a Miyata serial number. The seller has offered a big discount on it despite it being more than I paid for both Miyatas I have now. But for some reason this one keeps pulling me back to it.

Can anyone in the MIyata cult maybe have some ideas?

It is my size. Along with two other 80's road bikes I just picked up. A new, yes new as in not ridden at all, Norco Eurosport Tri-A and a Bianchi Campion D'Italia.

It does have a riders name on it but I can't make it out. Part of it is missing. I was trying to look it up this morning. It's a strange one though. So it has me thinking it has to have been a Team bike of some sort. It even has the FD braze on. The others I have are clamped on. But the specs on it line up with the All Pro from Koga but with Miyata decals.

My best guess is Masahiro Okumori, a racer from/in Japan.
