I don't think helmets were available back then.

The lady in the picture, BTW, is Anna Held:
She spent the years of World War I working in vaudeville and touring France, performing for French soldiers and raising money for the war effort. She was considered a war heroine for her contributions, and was highly regarded for the courage she displayed in traveling to the front lines, to be where she could do the most good.

I certainly hope that you have learned your lesson ! ! That historical filth has no place on a forum where children might see it. Good thing that you repented cos you might have been banned !

The only thing offensive about that image is the fact that the rider's foot is cut off in the composition. This, coming from a former photo editor. Otherwise, I'm only confused about the rocking chair.
Regarding the bicycle itself, I'm wondering if the chainset could help in identification of the marque.

Prototype Cannondale Lefty fork?
Cannondale had the Badboy model, this is possibly an early Badgirl model, showing as she is an outrageously racy amount of leg *swoons*.

The parts of the bike that are visible, such as the spoon brake and the fork crown seem to be pretty generic. Perhaps the head tube decal shape is something to go on?

Spandex, or Lycra, was invented in 1958 so such posts are fine and have my approval

I am deeply offended by the outrageous prices for that Anna Held Cycling suit (with options)!
Really, now?!
$3.75 for bloomers of pongee and India silk!?
How can we live with prices like these...

Yeah Dawg, so do I. Unfortunate that the forum is like everything else internet; "I can't be seen so there are no consequences for me" mentality. It is so easy to troll or express views that might be mis-understood by some when the intent was perfectly harmless. For me 2025 is going to be the year "under a rock" just to stay safe. I have a lot of friends and customers in my other job as a professional that seem to be overly riled up these days. Only the vetted ones get to be here in the golf shop just to keep issues down for me. Aber schade , MH

Dear Sirs,
I strongly object to the fact that this bicycle appears too large for this woman. I pose the query to you: Why should we have to climb onto chairs just to straddle and operate our machines? Furthermore, blah, blah, etc., etc.
