1985, doing a tour with an English friend from Cherbourg to Giverny, a beautiful day on my birthday 10/06, riding north to Rouen, stoped and had this picnic, lovely! Sorry the pic is backwards.

Back on topic - I take very good care of my bikes, plenty of love and attention, and not a single one has ever bought me dinner.

4th - chain on both sides of rear wheel. I’ve asked chat gpt to make images of old man on bike on a few occasions and it always does a long white beard, even when I ask it not to.

What a funny thread!I've gone to dinner on my bicycle countless times. Now that I'm back in the City, I go tons of places on my bike. I'm lucky that way. Often, I'm at work or at class, having arrived there on my bike. My spouse will invite me to dinner somewhere, or maybe it's prearranged. And I'll ride there, and she'll get there by subway. And we might ride home together if she's feeling up to grabbing a Citi Bike bike. I also ride Citi Bike at times, and it's a good way to get to dinner if the ride isn't long.
I've also eaten while riding. On my epic European trip a hundred years ago, I sometimes did whatever it took to keep rolling all day on the country roads. I had a handlebar bag, and I would snack on a baguette while riding, sometimes skipping lunch.
Russell 52telecaster your sweetheart is smart, probably smarter than you and I are. First of all, I love that she loves riding an rejects bike culture. Secondly, she knows her bike is perfect, and she won't waste any time pursuing an idea to the contrary. I'm so glad she has the world's finest bike.

We should keep this going with more dinner destination photos. You're almost obliged to include photos of the food too, though.

We keep a couple on an enclosed front porch. Date night is usually a bike ride to dinner and or coffee.

Bikes: A few. Quite a few.
Lunch, perhaps. The local park was having its Earth Day festival today so I rode 5 miles there to hit a roach coach, and then 16 or so additional miles to burn it all off (or at least make a dent in it). I've been anticipating this for a month, about the only time I ever eat from a food truck.

This thread provides motivation for me to consider riding to dinner more often. I live within a mile of several restaurants and often ride to places for lunch, but for dinner I am more likely to walk, especially if I’m going to have a drink with dinner and ride home when it’s dark.
