If it were in Philly, I'd grab it, but shipping from the West Coast would be far more than the bike is worth (to me).
I think the Aerowind is an excellent modality of thinking. A kind of philosophy of "F you, I know I'm polishing this turd, and I'm proud of it".
You need to know the game, the rules and be a really good player, before throwing all rules, convention, and social norms out the window to tackle such a project.
The Aerowind is the John Waters of the cycling world.

I have a very vague memory of seeing one at my local bike co op when I was around 14 years old. I don't think I thought anything of it at the time besides "ugly brown bike".
