But they won't stop me.
These help stop and stay clean at the same time!! |
Huh... something else to tempt me paying $$ for something I've done without for what, going on 53 years?
Do these things actually have a metal part in contact with my precious rims whilst I'm riding or ar they adjustable to keep a small gap? Or would that effectively make them useless? I just last year built a new set of (tubular) rims so as to give the OEM set from 1972 a well-deserved retirement. My NOS rims prolly have thick-enuf rims to last me (and them!) my remaining lifetime, but still... maybe these things are worthwhile? Something to ponder over a second G&T on the first Friday evening of Summer 2025. Edit: website no longer connects so I'm guessing these are 'collectible' now, eh? |
Another reason to own lots of bikes!
If you rotate your rides through a large number of bikes you'll never feel compelled to buy these silly things. I've never worn out rims except on my rim-brake mountain bikes. Brent |
