Source for Vintage Decals?

I'm new to the bike forum and wow, what a lot of great stuff! I joined because I'm going to restore the Atala Record Professional I bought new in 1974. I rode this bike into the late 1990's; it's been hanging in my basement since. Now that I have some time (I'm retiring), I want to get this bike back to riding condition so I can take it for a spin on Sunday mornings.

The decals came off the frame decades ago. Any advice on how to go about replacing them? I'm currently going through a box of old slides, to see if I can find a photo of the bike when the decals were still on. Is there a source for vintage decals? If not, I'll keep digging for an old photo and see if a local printer can replicate them for me.

Bikes: '84 Colnago Super; '90 Bridgestone MB-1; '81 Trek 930; '01 Cinelli Supercorsa; '62 Ideor Asso; '87 Tommasini Super Prestige; '13 Lynskey R2300; '84 Serotta Nova Special; '94 Litespeed Catalyst; etc.

Cyclomondo is located in Australia. The owner sends his decals by Australia Post, and they are sent without tracking information (shipment costs are lower), so they will take some time (2-4 weeks) to reach you. Greg does EXCELLENT work, though, so the decals will be well worth waiting for.

Coincidentally, I refinished my own Record 101 Pro this year, and Greg's decals were what I selected.

Kunsunoke, which set did you use? I’m digging through some old photos of my bike when it was new, trying to find the match.

I do remember my bike had a decal on the top tube that said “Record Professional.” It is long gone. I don’t see that decal in any of the sets.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I went with the Team Black set, and popped for a set of Reynolds 531 decals as well. Mine was one of the few Atalas of the era that was made with 531.

Apparently mine was a team issue frame, chrome only (and one of the worst chrome jobs ever - hexavalent over bare steel; no copper or nickel). Looks much better now, though.

If I can find a decent photo of that decal, I'll e-mail it to them.
Same here, mine was made with Reynolds 531, also, Based on the serial number, the frame was built in 1973. I bought the bike in 1974

It's great to see old bikes in such good condition still being enjoyed by their original owner. I've had my Miyata all of its 41 years and I have no intention of selling it. I have made some accommodations for my advancing age such as a nicer saddle and a taller stem.
