My daughter got a Cricut for Christmas and I’ve been putting her to work. It can definitely come in handy.

I was thinking Schwinn Circuit, and thusly confused when I saw a Celeste and even more so what I saw Bianchi
It looks great. My sister is usually good about helping me make stuff but thinks I need to learn it myself.

I had to look that up - neat!
My local library has a lab with this kind of stuff (including a Cricut] - it’s free for patrons.

Nice. There a few places where you can download free bootleg svg files of bike company logos. Funny that Bianchigirll mentioned a Schwinn Circuit; I am doing the graphics for mine after powder coating:

And my cycling club (membership =1):

Tell your daughter to look at creativefabrica.com, they have tons of free fonts and graphics for the Cricut. If you get on their mail list, they send announcements of new freebies.

My daughter has had one for 6-7 years and is quite the pro and uses it regularly. I bought the next model up from her Cricut when I retired but ended up using it very little. She had a big Cricut project this fall, and I loaned her mine (it was faster and she could use two at one time), and over Christmas I decided to let her keep it.
Now if I need any decal-stickers, I'll send her the image and let her make it. It's a win-win.

For anyone of the uninitiated reading along here, I can offer two bits from experience:
1) on a repaint project, I have laid base paint, masked with a vinyl decal, sprayed the final top coat, and then removed the decal with relative ease and success
2) I also can confirm that the vinyl held up under 2k top coats.
Just in case anyone had concerns.

Find a Michaels, they have actual Cricut vinyl. It’s not too expensive and they have tons of colors.

That is one nice workspace you got there! I have to use the dining room table as a work table, the Maker is in another room from the computer, and all of the materials & tools are downstairs. Looking on the bright side, I get a lot of steps in making even the simplest of things.

I was retrofitting LED lights in a school office today and noticed the Cricut. Good to know it's there. I may ask them to make a few things.

Cool! I visited my brother and his family for Christmas and he showed me his Cricut that I think his daughter had recently given him. I'll admit I kinda yawned, since sign making and vinyl transfers has been a big part of his career, and he was showing me a lot of "Cricuts" for guitars he was restoring. I didn't even think that it could work for bicycles. I would love to restore the top tube decals of my 40-year-old Vitus. Does anyone know if this would work and if so, where to get the graphics info?

My wife got a Criscut a few years ago but I don't think she used it even once. She shortly after crushed on stained glass for a hobby, and I'd have thought she would use it for patterns, but she does them on the printer.
Our nanny has one and uses it a ton to make projects for the kids. She also makes iron-on T shirt patterns for them.
