Schwinn Mirada

Just trying to find out a little bit more about this old Schwinn Mirada. I have attached an image of the head badge and the stamp from the left rear dropout. Thank you.

Your badge has 3190 engraved in it. That points to the 319th day of a year that ends in 0. Yours would be dated to 1990. That late in the year would indicate that it is a model year 1991 bike.

Here is a copy of the 1991 Schwinn Mirada catalog page.

Bikes: Waterford Paramount Touring, Raleigh Sports 3-speeds in M23 & L23, Schwinn Cimarron oddball build, Marin Palisades Trail dropbar conversion, Nishiki Cresta GT, Jeunet mixte

One of the earliest 650B bikes sold in the U.S., although they called it 26 x 1 1/2"

Cool seeing a 650b bike from this era. The rims that come on these are extra crappy, despite being aluminum. Don't be surprised if you need to replace one or both wheels to get it rolling.
