'93 Cannondale M400 Project
When I sold my first Trek 730 Multitrack (aka The Wet Trek), the purchaser did not want her old M400 and left it for me. I stripped it down to a bar frame, salvaged what other parts I could, and sent the rest to scrap. The bike was used as a commuter and looks rough but the frame is straight. It's been sitting in the crawlspace and I have decided strip the frame bare and see what I can find.
For those who are curious about vintage Cannondale serial numbers, you can find out what you need here.
The info on the bottom of the BB for this one is as follows:
EE. 02632
BN04 3LBN15n16 (B could be an 8)

The EE decodes as May 1993 production and it's a 16" 3.8 Series frame. I have the original steel fork too.
What's in store for the old M400? Time will tell but I am thinking it will receive a repaint with decals under some 2K clear. Here are some pics for your enjoyment.
