Bikes: too many or not enough

Help me choose

This is mostly for fun but I have come to the point where I must reduce my collection over the next year or so. I just can't justify paying for the space to have a bunch of bikes hanging on the wall or sitting in a garage or storage unit. If you had to keep just 4 of these bikes which 4 would you keep?

67? Masi Special

69 Pogliaghi

72 De Rosa

72 Masi GC

75 Masi GC

79 Bianch Super Leggera

81? Gios Super Record

82? Colnago Super Profil CX

83? Guerciotti Super Record

83? Colnago Superissimo

Based on looks alone (I don't do road biking and don't know much about it), I pick these four (ranked: Colnago Superissimo, De Rosa, Guerciotti Super Record, Masi Special).

67 & 75 Masi. One from each place. DeRosa and dealer's choice on a Colnago. Although I lean toward the 82?. Proper Italian collection.

Bikes: '69 Raleigh Sports '72 Cinelli Super Corsa '78 Motobecane Le Champion '84 Schwinn High Sierra '85 Trek 830 '88 Merckx Team ADR Corsa Extra

I don't envy your decision making. Those are some nice ones. I'd probably keep two Masi, the DeRosa and a Colnago.

Bikes: 1967 Paramount; 1982-ish Ron Cooper; 1978 Eisentraut "A"; two mid-1960s Cinelli Speciale Corsas; and others in various stages of non-rideability.

If any of them stand out from the others for ride quality (however you define it), it/they stay in my book.

If you are equally happy with the way they each ride, then my highly idiosyncratic and opinion is to keep the following:
  1. '69.Pogliaghi - There just aren't that many of them around.
  2. '83 Colnago Superissimo - I'm a sucker for Sarroni red, even though I have never owned a bike that color.
  3. '67 Masi Special - Again, there just aren't than many of them around.
  4. For the last one, it's conditional. If you have or can get a proper wool Brooklyn jersey that fits, keep the '81 Gios (even if the jersey would be anachronistic for that year frame, it's still the coolest bike/jersey combo ever). If you don't have or can't get the jersey, keep the De Rosa.

And keep in mind, my opinion is worth exactly what you are paying for it.

Bikes: Bianchi Campione d'Italia, Lemond Poprad, Kona Hei Hei (converted to drop bars), Felt F1PR, Specialized Sequoia, various other projects

Personally, the Pogliahi, the Superissimo, and the next two that are your sentimental favorites or the sweetest ride.

The Pogliaghi because they're more rare. The Superissimo because the Saronni-style paint is one of my favorites.

But I also like the idea of the Gios and a Brooklyn jersey. Iconic.

I do have a Brooklyn wool jersey so that is a good point. Also a Bianchi wool jersey.
