Joe Bell's custom Riv

Can it get any more C&V? Photos here.

From the newsletter:

Joe Bell, the best bike painter in the world, is here to pick up his custom. We had it made for him about five years ago, but it took him awhile to decide on what color to paint it (painter's paralysis, he says) and then he sent it back up to us for assembly. He let Grant pick all the parts, as you may have guessed from the felt.

It's a fantastic color, sort of Legnano-y green, but more vibrant, and with immaculate red fill on the dots and the two Blue Lug G.E colors on the seattube.

That color is so, so gangster.

I forget where I saw it, since the Reader was B&W, but JB did a custom Riv back in the day that was color & decal matched to an old glass 7-Up bottle... one of the coolest paint jobs I've ever seen.

Classic Silver components. From what I can see, everything but the front derailleur is current production. Can you still get a custom RBW frameset?

IIRC, no; I think they discontinued customs a few years ago.
