Bikes: Gary Fisher Tassajara commuterized, Evil Imperial stealth bomber, Sun Custom Cruiser, Punk Rock Trike of Doom (in progress), and an S&M Holmes (sentimental).
What is this?
Can anybody here tell me what kind of bike this might be? I've posted this here because, well, it looks vintage to me. Somebody else is asking me and I have no idea. These pics are all I have to go on.

Any help is appreciated.

Bikes: 1 trek, serotta, rih, de Reus, Pogliaghi and finally a Zieleman! and got a DeRosa
It is a very typical Dutch city bike (Lala
has a few of these). The womens
variety is known as Omafiets (grandmothers bike?)
Your design can be anywhere from the mid 1930's up to
modern produced yesterday, these bikes have not changed
very much in the last 70 years!
I am not familiar with the Super brand. I know of
Superia. I can't quite make out what it says on the
decal besides Super and Netherlands, I believe there
is a city name?
Any other Identifying marks would be quite helpful.
thanks,
Marty

The more I look at it the more I think it
falls in the catagory of a "sportsfiets" than
an "Omafiets" (fiets means bike).
Here is a pic of a Gazelle (single speed)
and here is a modern version:

Thanks. A friend of mine is looking for something to ride around on. She found this bike for sale for $50, and she likes the looks of it. She sent me the pics and wanted to know what I could tell her about it, which was very little. I told her I would go with her to take a look at it, and I was hoping to get a little info on it first. It does look quite a bit like that Gazelle, but she says it's supposed to be a 3 speed. Here's another pic.

The Gazelle I posted might have been modified.
Most of these city bikes were multispeed, used
Strumey-Archer hubs (or similiar).
The configuration of the top downtube (the bend etc.) seemed
very similiar to the Gazelle, and was a bit unusual in that other
bikes of the period did not have it. Can you get any more info
on decals, wording etc.?

I think we're going to check it out this weekend, I'll post with any info I find. I probably want to see it as much as she does now.

The bottom line on the seatpost reads 'NEDERLANDS • FABRIKAAT' -- 'Made in the Netherlands'.
Cool bike though -- just the thing to pedal down to the store for a sixer of Grolsch. I'd pay $50 for it.
