Somebody on CL here is advertising a bike with a 59' frame. Last week there was a 'Nice girl's bike'.

Bikes: A whole bunch-a bikes.

The front reflector has got to be worth $120 alone!

Bikes: 1 trek, serotta, rih, de Reus, Pogliaghi and finally a Zieleman! and got a DeRosa

Sydney,
I believe that the matching reflectors are a big factor in the pricing.
If you note it does appear that it has the infamous "upside down front wheel
reflector" which is about as collectable and rare as a 1955 double die penny.

yeah, not worth 500. 400 maybe just for the pink, other wise the bike is worth 5 bucks.

Bikes: 2 many

That means my 1970's Schwinn Continental is worth $1500 !!

I'll let it go for a lot less for forum members. It has the original shiny steel wheels !!

Someone needs to snag this quick, before it's gone forever. When confronted with delusional pricing, seller admitted to not being too familiar with bikes, but reconed that at .02 per pound at the recycle center it was more than he had otherwise. Great fixie material for the right person...

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

Not to steal Sydney's thunder, but I can top that by quite a bit.

I dare you to look at this bike.

That level of pristine pink deserves better than the landfill. But the e-mail I got from the seller suggest he is such a chucklehead that you would do well to have him take it to LBS for packing and shiping if he goes for your offer.

If he bites on the cheepo offer and the bike store can do it for a
a reasonable price (40 at most ??) Ill still do it.

Assuming that bike is in fact prisitne, I'd have absolutely no trouble selling it here in the SF Bay Area for $150, and could mosl likely get $200 for it.

That bike would go over huge with the campus crowd, and it it were a mixte it could easily fetch $250 with the right ad copy and a little patience.

Sydney,

You did this fellow a gigantic favor by posting a link to his ad here on BF. Now, I wonder if he has the brains to capitalize......
