The bicycle gods, knowing that I'm a good guy, delivered unto me a Tesch S22 yesterday. I'd always admired them from afar, assured that I could never afford one, new (Then) or used (Now). Well, hahaha on me. I did a cursory web search and uncovered very little...can someone point me to a few definitive websites, or provide personal insight, or something?

I'll post pics when it's delivered...

Very cool! I believe they were the last of the Tesch frames made (very late '80s- early '90s), and all fillet brazed. They turn up on eBay now & then, but I doubt they're very common. I've never had a look at one up close; my only Tesch is a 101, but very nicely built. The only web info that I'm aware of, is on the CR site:

I'm fortunate to have two Tesch creations: a Tesch-built John Howard and a Tesch 101. My brother also has an S-22. Wicked bikes, track-like geometry for road. Check out bikelist.org for old postings from the man himself before he passed away a couple of years ago.

Used to be on my cycling team here in Milwaukee back in the late '80s. I remember him making a frame for another teammate and the bottom bracket cut outs read "DEVO". Was a pretty good frame builder from what I recall. Call Patio Bike Shop here in Milwaukee and they'll probably talk your ear off about him (RIP).
