wooden rims

does anyone still make these? if so can some one tell me where I could track some down?

What size? if needed for a reasonalby current track bike not easy but they do come around, If you have an OLD bike '30's or earlier... doubtful.

Bikes: Italvega 1971, Italvega 1972 SuperSpeciale, Holdsworth Mistral 1983.

My first bike had wooden wheels (in 1945) - I thought it was because of WWII and the metal shortage. I never did like the bike.

I saw some nice looking ones on ebay not a week ago. I'll see if I can find them again.

I know of two different people in Italy who make them. Neither is looking for new customers however, so you have to ingratiate yourself and then you might get a set. Both make different models and can remake a 30's design too.

well it's a 1950's grass track bike that they would be going on so 26's or 700's
