Anyone here have any idea of the value of this 1952 Mac Lean Featherlight? It started its life as a fixed gear time trial bike and was converted to a geared bike much later, so a lot of those components are not original to the bike. The condition is pretty great considering the age...paint isn't perfect but no damage. Many thanks for any help!

Bikes: Waterford 953 RS-22, several Paramounts

Very nice looking bike! Classic Rendezvous has some info on MacLean at https://www.classicrendezvous.com/Bri...ean_cycles.htm.

Their high end frames used Reynolds 531 tube sets and very interesting looking lugs.

Apparently, they were in business from 1919 until 1962.

Thank you -- Yes, I did look at that site, some good info but I was curious what value (if any!) a bike like this has. It is Reynolds 531, by the way, with some fancy lugs.

Bikes: Crap. The box is not big enough...

You should get in the habit of photographing bicycles from the other side - we can tell oh so much more from that angle. It looks to me like the cranks, at least, are Campy...maybe the shifters, too? The parts may be very valuable, if they date from the '50's. The frame itself has value as well, Mac Leans have a following among people who know. I really can't see enough detail to give you a guess - but that is a Pista stem on the handlebars, and depending on brand, may be worth up to a hundred dollars all by itself.

Can you give us some additional photos?
