mid 70s? road frame identification.. help!

this is my first posting, i have just got an old ish road frame as a donation from a recycling project near my home, it has campy 1010 long dropouts and some quite nice lugwork too.
i picked it up with a campy headset, 600 cranks and BB, old campy friction shifters and mafac dual pivot brakes.

so it seems as if it was a high ish end bike in its time. the reason im asking is that im running it as a fixie at the moment and would like to see if i can find out a little more about the frame in case i decide to get the dropouts swapped..

the numbers on the bb shell are.. E175AJ6

please see the photo of the lugs and the numbers, and info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Lug cutouts suggest colnago perhaps, but I'm far from an expert. Someone will recognize them I'm sure. Seems you found it with a mixed bag of parts, cranks probably the replacement. A few more photos may help, specificly the seat tube / top tube area and a full frame shot.

I don't think it's a Colnago, it's missing the "stem" from the clover if
that's what it's supposed to be, and the orientation is wrong.
The serial number suggests British to me, generally the Italians used simple numbering
system, the Brits had these obscure codes with letters, numbers, heiroglypics etc.
One way to narrow down the country of origin would be the threading
and the BB width.
Can you post more pictures of the bike?

it looks, for all the world, like someone has given you a Stan Pike, and that is a gooooood thing. A rare collector bike, top of the bin, as they say in England.

Crap. That's all anyone ever gives me.

Regardless of wether or not it's a Stan Pike DO NOT have it converted to track ends, it will ruin the frame from a collector's stand point and theres a risk that the person doing the conversion could make a mistake and destroy what is obivously a very nice vintage frameset. Long horizontal dropout work just fine for fixed gear use so their is no reason to convert beside a personal preference, if you want to convert a frames drop outs please find a mass produced and common road bike.

Luker seems to have a very good match as far as the cutouts look.

Agree w/ Everest on all points.

Seems you have a great catch there - ride her just the way it is.

thanks alot for your help so far, i will be checking out the stan pike avenue!
in the mean time i have a few more photos as requested.

also the bb width is app.68mm

ive been looking for stan pike images on the web but can only seem to find a few..

the lug cutouts do indeed look the same and im happilly convinced but i notice that the top of my seat stays terminate in a slightly different manner, more blunt you could say.. any ideas?

though looking at the few images ive found mr pike was obviously not restricted to one design so this might be another model..

if you have any stan pike info please let me know
