I bought a NOS Team Miyata frame/fork from an LBS yesterday. 126 mm.Does anyone know what kind of headset/bottom bracket to put on it ? 26,4 or 27,0, english or what.(for pics see catch of the day)
Will a C-record crank function on a 109 mm Suntour Superbe Pro BB ?

I'd speculate that the standard japanese components that Peugeot,Motobecane,,etc were using by the 1980's.A cartridge BB would be a nice upgrade.Hey,every project is a opportunity to buy MORE TOOLS.I don't know enough to go beyond repacking headsets. The others will add their thoughts better.

I have no idea about the bottom bracket, but I suspect those would usually have been built with Tange headsets.

no the cranks will not work, the taper is different and the spec on the c-record is probably 113mm though someone here will hopefully chime in with a definate answer. As for everything else. The bike is almost definately english threaded (The reason I say almost is because I have a fear of looking like an ass because you never KNOW 100%. Sometimes you are suprised) the diameter for the crown race is probably 26.4mm, get a caliper or just take the fork to the LBS, they'll have calipers.

My Team Miyata frameset is threaded for a standard English 68mm BB. I can't answer the headset question, as mine came with a headset installed.
