Masi Nuova Strada: id help

I have a nuova strada that i use as my every day bike (I only have one road bike) I picked this up around '99 brand new. There is no serial # on the bottom bracket, where would it be located?

Who made this bike? Torelli says he never sold to Performance bicycles so how did they get them? Mr. Jim Allen said he painted it. What is the story behind this one being from italy (at least that's what it says on the bike/ note the italian flag over the US flag below it reads "made in italy") even though the masi shop was moved to CA? and then I guess the name was sold to Haro.

In order to do my part to save space on the server I will direct you to the thread where a picture is already posted:

(if the link does not work it is in the road cycling forum, "what road bike do you have?" post, pg. 132, #3295)

thanks
