Bikes: '81 Gazelle Champion Mondial '83 Raleigh Touring 18 '85 Schwinn Cimarron

I have a friend of a friend of a friend who is selling his bike for $50. My friend's friend says it's a nice bike, 'super light and super fast'. My friend says it looks like a decent bike, but is probably too small for me. He says it has Maillard hubs, Rigida rims and Sachs derailleurs. Does anyone know anything about this model? A google search didn't turn up much (in English, anyway). Thanks!

That's a mid to late eighties mid range model with a plain guage cro-moly frame and a high tensile fork. It should weigh around 24lbs. That's not bad, but not super light. Super fast? Compared to what? It's probably worth at least $50 if it's in decent shape.
