Need help identifying a Peugeot

I've got an older Peugeot that my Dad bought in the late sixties. It's got Mafac "Racer" brakes, Normandy hubs, Rigida Chrolux rims, and Simplex front and rear derailluers. The crankarms say DXT on them and are cottered. SR stem. The paint is white with checkerboard on the seat tube. The top sticker on the seat tube says "Tube Special Allege" and the sticker below that says "Record Du Monde" The S/N is 1491118. This is on a tab that is riveted to the bottom of the b/b shell. There are four characters stamped into the b/b shell, but I can't identify them.

It's a UO-8; Peugeot's entry-level road bike of the period.
