Raleigh Super Course Crank

I just won this mixte on eBay:

Is that a T.A. crank? Am I going to have to find a 23mm too; to get it off?

Anybody?

I'd hate to buy the tool only to find out I don't need it. I know my LBS has a 23mm puller, but I refuse to pay them $10 to yank my crank

I think it's a heck of a strong possibility that it's a TA 3-pin crankset and thus you'll need that 23mm puller. Still, $10 from your LBS is cheaper than trying to track down a one to buy (though that's an annoyingly high charge). I'm surprised that your SuperCourse MKII doesn't have a Stronglight crankset, but then you'd need a Stronglight puller.

TA Professional 3-Vis. Beautiful crankset, and yes, it does require the special TA puller.

See if you can find one of Park's older CCP-1 cotterless crankset removers - these have both standard and TA thread removers on them.

Take care,

-Kurt
