I've got a fabulous Campagnolo aero seatpost that I'm going to ebay shortly. Can't wait to see what the fashionistas are prepared to pay for THAT!

what do you use for the final polish in the way of the attachment to the dremel and substance?

I have also done another variation of this. I have bought some complete or semi-complete bikes for the parts I wanted, then stripped and sold the others on Ebay. It is amazing how parts that are clean, shiny and well photographed and described sell for much more than those with poor photos and descriptions.

I always look for the crappy listings! Sometimes you get lucky....

It is just a polishing paste (I've heard it called jeweler's rouge) on a cloth polishing pad. They come with standard rotary tool polishing kit. The ultimate shine has more to do with how well you sanded it. You have to make sure you sand out the scratches from the lower grit sandpaper.
