rebonding a frame

my peugeot/vitus carbon/979 frame needs rebonding at the bb/st joint. i talked to a guy in canada about it but i dont have the money for his repair, so im wondering if i cant do it myself, with some heavy duty epoxy. ive heard of people doing it to their 979 frames and im sure it would work, but im afraid of misalignment and a botched job. is it a hard thing to mess up?
thanks
