The chain, Handlebars, and spokes are rusty, the seat is torn, and it will need some cleaning, but it is in good shape.,,,,BD

The price is decent, I will give him credit for that.

Gaspipe in Chicago for $400

The boom's not over....

Fuji Sports 12 ASKING $400.00 OBO

This bike has mabye been ridden 1 or 2 times at most. No rust, very few minor scratches probably from storage. The chrome is in factory condition. The bike has the original reflectors, handle bar wrappings, and I have the wheel reflectors also (not shown in pictures). Chain has been removed for a deep cleaning and lubrication. Original seat also. This is a beautiful bike in great condition. This bike would look great as a fixie/fixed gear convert. Please contact me at (309) 337-9890. Thank you for looking. Will Not Ship. Pickup cash-in-hand only. thanks

His price was $450 about 2 weeks ago. At $400 he is still asking triple what I gladly sold a 56cm version for back in November.

I don't get it, is it numbskull because of the price? (the new bits might be worth close to that, no?) 'Cause he cut off the kickstand? 'Cause it's a Varsity?

Maybe because he calls it his beloved single speed, yet hardly rode it. I guess it was a Seinfeldish prop so he would look cooler than his neighbors.,,,,BD

Yep - I've been lusting after a Suntour Cycline/Sugino RT drivetrain for years

Are you sure he's not throwing in a free Nuovo Record group at that price?

Okay, before you click the link, I want you to think what kind of condition this all-chrome 1961 Rudge Sports would have to be in, for the seller to "entertain offers starting at $500."

Okay? Sure you're ready? Here you go!

Don't use someone else's picture and nobody on eBay spends that much for one of these.

nishiki international, 10 speed mans-style bicycle, white. Good condition, rarely used, trades up to $900.00 on e-bay, a collectible. Save money on gas! (similar to the one shown) $300.00 or best

Poor, Poor trek...
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/bik/1049568214.html

For sale is a bike that I built for my girlfriend that I recently replaced.
The frame is a fully lugged reynolds steel mountain bike frame -it is strikingly similar to the Bridgestone MB-1. 53 cm top-tube and 52 cm seat-tube. I built it up as a commuter, nice cruiser handlebars, new grips.
cantilever brakes
brand new 26" road tires
Deore XT wheelset (7/8 speed)
Deore crankset - single chainring in the front
suntour XCE rear derailer
suntour microfriction thubies shifter
Like I said this is a great bike that is taking up space in my garage - let me know if you are interested.

You are mistaken, it's definitely a MTB. Probably a first year 850. The only real problem with it is the goofy handlebars.

Even if it were a 520, I wonder what you think would be a more appropriate parts selection considering that touring components are almost universally identical to mountain bike components.

Yep, I knew that.

Well, any amount of pulling the rear stays apart to fit a ten speed hub could possibly flex the bonded joint between
the top/seat tubes and the cluster. I have one just like it but in lavender. It's a pretty nice bike and has a soft ride.,,,,BD

I may be stuck when the FD finally wears out. It's a weird size and not part of any set Suntour group. Suntour LePree I believe?

I have a suntour lepree fd here now, though I have to check back, because it came off a Kurahawa road bike with standard size tubing, and I believe its a standard clamp diameter. I'm sure you can find something to shim if all else fails.

As for stretching stays, theoretically, its only 4mm, from 126 to 130. I just figured the brake bridge would prevent stretching from taking place anywhere above it, and ditto for the little cross tube between the chainstays, near the bb (what is that called?) Since those two things should constrain cold setting to the lower portion of the stays, the Raleigh Technium should be safe for stretching. Sound accurate?

Cheers.
