I got this a few weeks ago, but have had so much fun riding, that I haven't had time to post it! Loads of fun, the missus loves it, and now we're really enjoying riding together.

Oh! Also got this on eBay the other day. Not sure how good it is, but for £4:20, I figure I can't lose, and it's just round the corner. Any Olmo experts here?

The cam crank is probably the most interesting part of the bike.

This is my first Catch--I walked into a Goodwill store that I sometimes just look in for the heck of it. Up until now, I never found anything. I walked to the back and there I saw the words Bianchi. It is a Bianchi Sport Sx. It has a sticker that say's Tange 900 CR-MO Double Butted Tubes. It appears to have Suntour AX 5000 front and rear derailure and brakes and light action DT shifters, Sugino GP-130 cranks, Araya 700c rims, and Fluted Laprade seatpost.

It is a little rough, too big for me and could use a good cleaning but hey it cost only $10. I guess this will be my first bike flip. How did I do?

That's one of the decent Oriental made Bianchis. You made out like a bandit for $10.00.

This is ridiculous! A fantastic commuter for about 10bucks, how did those other 8 bidders let this slip by? Have you taken any pics of your own? I like the neon green.

I don't pick it up til Thursday. I'll post more after that.....

I wish I had more racks on hand, I'd slap one on, do a better listing, and flip it right back out. Of course, the Look pedals would put off many commuters, but hey, I have others.....

Mudu93, my first flip bike was also a Taiwan made Bianchi. I bought mine for $18, and I think mine was at least one step down from that one (Strada LX). It got regreased, new cables, tires, tubes, and sold less than a week after putting it on CL for a decent profit. Now a year later and I have bought over 45 bikes in that time. And, I am very selective about the bikes I buy to flip.

I went to pick up some bikes from one of my local scrappers. I buy them for $3 each. (he just upped his price from $2) I got 5 total. A Magna, a Huffy and a Murray that should get $20-$30 each on CL with a few pieces from my junk pile and 2 bikes I'm not sure what to do with. One is a Univega MTB with a Shimano Exage 500XL group. rapid fire shifters and all that crap. Just missing the wheels. It's a bit scraped up and has a bit of rust on the drive side chain stay. It's just missing wheels. I'm thinking of putting a pair of Alex rims I have laying around on it, but that would mean I want to keep it. The other is an old 10 speed Free Spirit. I'm thinking about putting the wheels the ladies Schwinn Caliente I picked up a while back and saving the Dia-Compe center pull brakes for something else. If I do part this one out the thunderbird FD and falcon RD are up for grabs.

I bought this on C-list the other day for $100, cleaned it up and all. A Cannondale SR-400 (1991?) that needed a lot of TLC. The pics don't do it justice, but I'm headed to Performance sometime soon to buy a set of new tires... replaced the saddle with a Bontrager Race Lux ($5.00 at my local cycle store just because it had a bit of scuffs- what a steal, no?)

I found the following:
2 - Campagnolo SR brake levers w/cables and hoods NOS
1 - Campagnolo SR Frt Dérailleur NOS
1 - 42 tooth Campagnolo SR chain ring in envelope NOS
1 - complete set Dura Ace 7400 brakes (levers, calipers hoods, cables) NOS
2 - pairs Dura Ace 7400 pedals w/clips and Binda straps lightly used w/pedal wrenches
1 - Campagnolo SR bottom bracket complete NOS

Then, in the trash I found a KHS Gran Tour 5 speed, needed tires, repacked everything, it rides just fine.

It's been a good week!

Hopefully it's not outrageous, but I have a line on a Ted Williams!! Almost got a Murray Meteor Line but it turned out to be a 24 inch. Sheet! Hopefully my luck improves, hehe.,,,,BD

Supposedly I'm going to sell the SE Racing for $140 on Saturday. Woohoo....!

Not a bad deal. Those things are popular, as they go for 2 and 3 times as much on eBay (though the small frame size might hamper that a bit if you ever decide to sell). I just sold my SR400 (my first road bike!) on CL for $225, but it was completely overhauled. It's a fast, fast bike...and also a harsh ride. But that's because it's super stiff...great for riding out of the saddle. Have fun with it, and post your finished product in this thread.

Here's a Miyata one ten I recently picked up from my local bike shop for $30.00. (I'm 6'3" and always looking for large frames!) When I got it, it had old man handle bars on it and a badly stuck seatpost. Other than that despite a few scratches, rust spots and a ding in the top tube the thing looks and rides pretty well. It took me awhile to get the seatpost out though; I went through a whole bottle of liquid wrench and finally got it to move by heating up the outside tube with a hair dryer. I then replaced the hadlebars with a nice set of SR sakae ones the bike shop gave me (for free!). I intend to get a new saddle and go through the shifting and brakes more thoroughly in the future. In looking at the pictures if anyone knows anything about the components or the bike in general that would be great!

I found this lugless Pug today. Per the sticker it is a 54cm PH10S. I think it may have at least a couple upgrades -- nice Campy clamp-on downtube shifters (they don't match the Simplex 'Peugeot' derailleurs) and pretty Suntour Superbe levers and calipers, and I'm guessing the Super Champion Competition rims are upgrades as well. The Profil bottle cage is funky looking. It needs a special bottle, correct?

The frame is Carbolite 103, but in a white pearlescent with only a couple nicks. It will clean up nice.
