Moser Bikes
I just saw a Francesco Moser not make reserve at £176 or something, but then there's another one, ending I think tonight, currently sitting on £10. Should I be buying this? I don't know nothing about them, do you all?
In other news, a Mercian King of Mercia for £100 sounds like a bit of a bargain. I'd have bought it for that price, but the shipping from the other end of the country killed it for profit. That said, as a rider, it would've been a sweeeeet deal.

Bikes: Still have a few left!
Depends on the model, be aware some F Moser frames have no seatpost clamp & incorporate a seatpost which adjusts with an internal expanding wedge similar to a quill stem. Not a problem if the frame comes with its post & it fits you. These are very nice frames

Sounds like it'll be worth a tenner no matter what. This'll be a "for profit" job, so it doesn't have to fit me.

Here it is. The spelling almost makes it a candidate for numbskull of the day, but it looks like one to buy for me.

£21, so around $40. Should be worthwhile.

Moser bike how good are they?
I have seen a various number of Moser bikes around my home and in southern Germany. The one pictured in the auction has no resemblance to any moser I have ever seen before. Looks like a department store bike of very low quality from what I saw on the blurry pictures. However, alot of people around her bought Mosers in the 80ies directy from the Moser store in Trento since it was close to the austrian and german border and you could smuggle them in paying no customs when you had a fake receit from your local bikestore claimin you bought it at home and not across the border. Models ranged from low end Aelle and lesser up to top-end SLX frames with campy SR. I have a decent one i just restored and try to find as much pantoed parts as possible for it. The model mentioned in on of the post utilizing a special seatclamp mechanism is new to me. Al the bikes I have seen had "normal" seatbinders. Usually you can determine the quality by judging it's components. Lesser models had Ofmega cranks and modolo sppedy brakes, better models had Campy groups.

This guy couldn't spell "like", so I figured asking him the details of the group was a waste of time. For £21 and 30 mins drive, I suspect I can't go far wrong. If nothing else, I'll get the money back selling the frame to someone who wants to build a fix. Or I can convert it to single speed.

Moser frames were produced during Moser's career under license, and then after he retired, in his own factory. (possibly, at the end of his career as well)
Here's a french made example:

Maybe yours is similar?
He *did* ride Moser labeled frames prior to starting his own company, but they were definitely custom built by some third party + labeled for him.

That one looks like an older, lugged, entry level frame. The "Leader" fillet brazed frameset & its derivations had the unusual seat post. Fast Freddie Rodriquez sometimes rode a Moser in 2000-2001 when he was U.S. champion.
