touch up paint reliable protector?

I'm scared...I got my bike now its just too damn nice to ride as a rainy beater. I'm affraid I've already put enough nicks and scratches on the finish. It will need some touchup. I'm thinking of using Golden Acrylics with the Golden Acrylic 200 hardner medium. The basic paint was applied to my old schwinn beater and has taken so much abuse I can't really believe it.

Be sure to use primer if bare metal is exposed. If rust has already started you need to get rid of it. Painting over it won't stop it. It will just hide it while it continues to eat your frame.
