hello. I have a merckx (red, while and blue) corsa with the serial number of C2659 - can anyone help with the age/ it has an athena capmy setup, which I believe is orgional with the bike.

C above the serial number? I'd need to see pics, but my (semi-educated) guess would be 90/91. What are the numbers/letters on the drive side? You can also send mail info@gitabike.com. Ask nicely, and they may be able to give you the build year. If they do, please let me know what they say -- the more confirmed dates I get associated with serials, the easier it will be to self-date.

Thank you. The C is next to the number (left side), I believe the other markings are the number 40 on the other side of the crank (it is in my office storage and I just left). I also sent an email to merckx today but will send to the address you provided to see if they can help. I will post back what i find out.
