Brooks specific NR Record seatpost?

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true

I have never read of this before? Did Campy make a Brooks specific Record seatpost to accommodate it's narrow rails? I have a B17 on mine and it fits fine. The only difference I see is the Campagnolo text which I do not have. I do want it, but the price on this already seems a bit steep. I'll find out in 6 days.

campy & brooks collaborated on a special narrow-railed saddle and seatpost to match..
(along the lines of the narrow-railed keirin seatposts and saddles, if you're familiar with them)

the part for sale is not the important one, it's the upper cradle parts and post that matter when fitting the narrow rails
(it seems like the seller only has one piece)

also, the special saddles were stamped campagnolo where you put your butt

all this stuff is very rare, but not much good unless you've got all parts of the equation

Interesting. So the Brooks saddles in question are not the ones that were and are commonly available? Was this back in the '70's? I have yet to see a Brooks with the Campagnolo stamp.

70's was about a decade late at that point I think. The Brooks saddles are not marked, just can be identified as having a narrower frame where the seat post would attach and the straight section is longer providing more fore/aft adjustment.

I see the difference. Now I don't covet it quite as much since it predates my oldest bike by 5-10 years. Very cool, though.
