So originally by saying "Help ID'ing this oldie" did you mean the bike, or the rider, lol.,,,,BD

My Dad was born in a small Texas town that no longer exists. Kinda mysterious huh?

As Vice President of the James T Fagg Jr. Cyclig Society, Southwest chapter, it is my opinion that the high price paid for the postcard is a direct reflection of the overwhelming popularity of Mr. James T. Fagg Jr. and nothing else.

East Hill, any word from the possible ancestor yet? How do we go about finding his burial site, relatives?

It truly did start with the intention of finding out more about the bicycle but then Jame's charisma naturally swept us all off our feet and well, the rest will live in history.

Texas is one of our favorite cycling states. What part of Texas and what was the name of the town if we may ask?

I have not heard back yet. Sometimes it can be a few days, sometimes there's never a reply...but I did explain why we were interested, and directed the person to this thread. So, if they are interested, perhaps they will register and fill us in!

Well his name came up at an LBS in Geaorgia just today. As did the New Departure hub.

Seriously? Hey, we don't want him to get to popular and drive up the price of his cards. Airwick and I are borrowing a page from Mr. Fagg and snapping pictures to turn into postcards.

Please explain the New Departure hub? Someone sent me an email saying they believe he is buried in Richmond, Virginia. David, that's just a ride up the Blue Ridge Parkway for you and me. (I'll be there in 3 months)

Airwick

(starting bid for our postcard in front of Jacumba Spa and Resort is .99 cents,........)

I believe it was Southeast are, somewhere around Livingston or Groveton possibly. The town was Bering. I believe that's the correct spelling.,,,,BD
