Bikes: Nishiki Nut! International, Pro, Olympic 12, Sport mixte, and others too numerous to mention.

Do a PM or post what you've got in the iso/wtb sticky near the top of the page...

I can't help with a stem; the only threadless headset in the fleet is on my 8-year-old's Raleigh Mountian Scout
Harris will sell you a nifty little cable hanger that will bolt through the hole in the brake booster on that fork.

I'm kinda in the same place as JGEDWA. A year and a half ago I rescued an 80's Univega SuperStrada from my son-in-law's trash. He had it set aside with other large items for the city to pickup. All it cost me was my time and the purchase of a few bike specific tools and replacement parts. I viewed it as a learning experience. Anyway, it cleaned-up so nice that I'm having trouble on deciding whether or not to sell it. Don't have a picture but here's what it's got: 63cm Chanpion steel tubes; Shimano Dura Ace stem, BB, crankset with DynaDrive pedals, FD, RD, BB, brakes and levers and seat post; Araya 27" wheels with Nashbar 27 X 1 1/4" tires; SunRace 6 speed freewheel; Nitto 50th Anniversary bars with new black cork bar tape; and a Brooks B17 that I bought at the local bike club swap meet. The frame is a little big for me but the bar, seat and pedal set-up is the same as on my TREK 1000 and I'm able to ride it comfortably. I don't consider it a "beater" but I'm not overly concerned about leaving it locked-up outside the local hardware store etc. This is my third bike and I've got an old Raliegh Twenty folder on it's way so I may have to sell this one. I'm starting to ramble so I'd better stop for now.

Unless I'm looking at a different picture, there is.
That arch that connects the two brake bosses in called a brake booster. It keeps the fork from being spread by the force against the rim. IFAIKT, there's a hole in the top of that arch that you'll be able to mount a cable stop in.

Finding that cable stop may be tricky. I've been looking for one for a couple months now. Any idea where one can be found?

Edit: Make that two, one for me and one for funrover.

Since it's made by Tektro it might be available elsewhere.

Thanks. I've seen that one and have been considering it as a last resort. Would prefer a simple screw in boss for the stop since the brace is threaded. The search continues.
