Stumped on fork

I have an old Centurion Lemans RS which I bought with a bent fork (I knew about it). I have taken all the components off the bike, thinking I would keep them and sell/trade/give away the frame. Since what I want to do is tinker, I thought maybe I would just put the bike back together after cleaning and lubing everything. I dreaded taking off the fork since the balls were supposed to fly every where. Lo and behold, I took the fork off and the bearings are held in neat little holders!

My problem is that I want to get a new/used fork. I only paid $20 for the bike so I don't want to pay a lot for a fancy fork. Any ideas on where I can find a used fork? Anyone have one to sell? What is this rake thing I read about? Will most forks fit this bike? It has 27 x 1 1/4 wheels. Lenght of the fork from crown to the end is 7.5".

Thanks is advance.

I bought a new chromed Tange fork at my LBS for $22, and it's for 27" wheels. I cut the steer tube, but then never ended up using it. If it's your cheapest option, and the steerer's not too short, you can have mine for the $22 + shipping. I don't know what they cost elsewhere.

Here's a $15 option (plus shipping) on eBay: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...9217&rd=1&rd=1

I saw a nice NOS Tange fork on ebay the other day that did NOT sell for the 99 cent asking price! Shipping was $12. Of course, it was painted blue and was fairly short (under 5 inches) so it probably would not have worked for this application.
