giubilato and campy

picked up one of these today. total campy groupo but don't know the model maybe somebody can hlep me out. the wording on the brakes is 'script', no holes front derailleur, . Also the bike itself. Does anyone know anything about this marque. Under the bottom bracket is the word 'Cine' and under it 'sa made in italy'. the 'C' in Cine is the Cinelli logo. this is all raised /embossed (part of) on the BB shell. 'Nisi' tubulars. Campy aero type pedals.

Bikes: Mostly English - predominantly Raleighs

The brakes sound like Record or Super Record. Is there a number in a shape on the crankset, or a number code on the rear derailleur?

crank arm

i forgot about that. yes, there is an '11' in a square box on the crankarm. couldn't see anything on the rear DR. the shift levers are the flat type with campagnolo in script on them.

Victory gruppo. Often pooh-poohed as not as good at NR and the like, but good stuff nonetheless. I think the calipers are the same as the upper level Campy for this time period. Clean it up and you will have a nice ride. The BB is Cinellli. I would rather have the Victory than 105, but that is my preference.

Try this link

EDIT: FWIW, I have seen only one other Gib and that was a time trial bike on display in a bike shop located in Silverdale, WA

+1 to Lynn's comments...never seen this mark before but I wonder if it's realted to "Billato"...what about a tubing decal? With that BB shell and Campy DOs I'd guess it has to be Columbus "Something".

decals

no decals on the seat tube other than the columbus one. i thought it was an interesting paint job with the italian colours. the saddle is red, handlebar tape green, with red. but you can see all that.
