Bikes: 71 Chrome Paramount P13-9, 73 Opaque Blue Paramount P15, 74 Blue Mink Raleigh Pro, 91 Waterford Paramount, Holland Titanium x2

Short Cinelli stems are hard to find, especially the old logo version.

Darn! Someone has bid on that stem. I hate ebay bidding wars. I wish there was one with a "Buy it now".

Here ya go...
https://cgi.ebay.com/Cinelli-1A-Road-...mZ120096968699

Looks like it's a similar style to yours. Hurry, there's only 19 left.

PS Check out his other stems. The 80mm looks nice too.

One other point to consider: what is your bar diameter where the stem attaches? You will need a shim if it's smaller than 26.4mm.

Be nice if they would show or state which logo it is....

Cool! Thanks for that. According to my research "All Cinelli bars prior to 1996(?) have a 26.4 diameter..." so it looks like that stem will work. Thanks again!

Hi,
I really like your choice of wheels. I think upgrading old bikes is a great idea.
And on that note... if you need to... you can use a Nitto Technomic stem and
a new handlebar if you can't find something on Ebay. You can also contact Harris
Cyclery, they specialise in hard to find parts.

Another trick you can try is to raise the bars. As you raise the bar, it comes back towards you at the same time. Sometimes it really helps in this sort of situation.

Another trick that often helps in your situation is a seat post with no set back. This will
bring your saddle forward a bit; and bring you about a half inch closer to the bar.

The last trick is that they make handlebars with different reaches. You can buy one with a shorter reach to the drops.

The stem that McDave linked to is a nice one for sure, and the "buy it now" price isn't bad, either. I shopped for at least a couple weeks when I bought mine, and I saw bidding wars take the price on some of those short stems close to $100. I decided my limit was $40, and I held out until I finally got mine for $38. It's definitely a seller's market with those stems, supply and demand I guess-

Done and done. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the stem McDave was kind enough to point out. Now I just have to wait for it to get here from Switzerland...

Here's one that should fit, but it's not really a mixtie:

Good deal! Don't worry, I regularly get stuff from Europe in less time than Nashbar's or Performance's basic shipping takes. You should have it in about a week.

In the meantime, if you were thinking about making a change to the bar tape, changing the stem would be a good time to do it as the tape has to come off one side anyway. If the tape is new it could possibly be reused, but if not it will likely need to be replaced.

I was doing a little checking around to see what the Cinelli 1A looks like and ran across this link...
https://www.bikepro.com/products/stems/cinelli-road.html

The 1A is plain without a logo, but, look closely at the auction. The stem in the photo is an XA, and the XA's do have a logo! So, no telling what you're getting Lisa.

Edit: After looking at the link I provided above, it's obvious the auction is for a 1A in an XA box. Oh well.
